Dyon Tahana

Jazz Improvisation, Victorian College of The Arts

Dyon works as a saxophone tutor, specialising in improvisation. He teaches both privately and at Shake It Up music on the Sunshine Coast. He also performs and tours regularly with various ensembles covering many different genres from neo soul, funk, folk, rock and hip hop.

Dyon studied jazz improvisation at the Victorian College of The Arts for three years before moving to Queensland. He has recorded with artists such as Carl Wockner (Nashville), 2008 Australian Idol winner Wes Carr, Dan Wolsner and Australian hip hop outfit, King.

He has also performed nationally and internationally with musicians such as The Truth (Melbourne), Bomba (Melbourne), Things of Stone and Wood, Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows, Bobby Valentine Big Band, OMC (New Zealand), Endorphin (France, Nfa Jones, The Brains Trust, The Hoax Collective (France) and many more.
