MIC students represented the school with determination, and outstanding sportsmanship at the District Cross Country held earlier this month at Bli Bli State School.
At MIC, we believe success is something to be celebrated across many different areas of school life. Whether in the classroom, on the sporting field, through creativity, leadership or personal growth, we are proud to recognise the unique strengths and achievements of every student. Events such as Cross Country provide valuable opportunities for students to challenge themselves, build confidence and demonstrate perseverance, teamwork and courage.
Across all girls’ and boys’ age groups, MIC had strong representation at the event, with several students achieving excellent individual results. Highlights included Kylah Davidson being named 12-Year-Old Girls Champion Runner, while Kylah Davidson (12yo), Olive Holden (11yo) and Hazel Holden (10yo) all qualified for Regionals. Several MIC students also achieved impressive Top 15 placings within highly competitive age groups, including Kai Nispel, Zachary Shobrook, Myla Griffin, Oscar Carrathurs and Denzel Kapoor.
For a small school, this marks one of MIC’s strongest Cross Country results to date and reflects the depth of talent, perseverance and community spirit within our student body. Beyond the results themselves, the true highlight of the day was the compassion, encouragement and sportsmanship displayed by MIC students throughout the event.
“These experiences allow children to shine in ways that are not always visible within the classroom and are such an important part of their growth and development,” said Dr Jaclyn Munge, HPE Specialist (Primary).
We are incredibly proud of every student who participated and look forward to cheering on our Regional qualifiers in the next stage of competition.
