The Instrumental Music Lesson Program is designed to foster creativity, confidence and natural curiosity through the learning of an instrument or voice, participating in the ensemble program and participating in our concert series.

Lessons are for students of all ages and all of our tutors are exceptional with younger students.

Our youngest violin students at their debut performance at MIC, September 2019.

Ensembles include Choir, Bucket Ensemble, String Ensemble, Traditional Australian Ensemble and various bands. Learners who have developed sufficiently will be invited to participate in an ensemble.

Prior to COVID-19 performances occur under the banner of the Afternoon Delight Concert Series and are scheduled in week 7 or 8 of each term. Due to COVID-19 these are currently cancelled until further notice.

The Instrumental Music Lesson Program runs for 7-8 weeks each term. There are 80-100 students enrolled who take half hour weekly lessons on drums, guitar, piano, voice, strings and woodwind. Trial lessons are also available.

Lessons are held at the same time each week for each student to ensure punctuality and attendance. Tutors collect the younger students and return them to the classroom.

The schedule is as follows:

Mondays – Piano with Clare and Drums with Max
