Why are you involved with Montessori education?
I wanted to be able to give my children the opportunity to learn in an educational environment that supports and nurtures their freedom to be themselves, at their level and at their own pace without pressure to perform academically at an institutional level. I was also looking for a like minded community that I could immerse in and grow from during the early days of motherhood. After much research, I came across Montessori Education and MIC and knew it was the place I was looking for as its principles resonated with me as an individual and a mother.

What year did you commence at MIC?
I joined MIC as a parent in 2012 and started working in Admin as staff in 2014.

How would you describe what you do?
I support and assist our extraordinary Principal and Executive Team, to work alongside them is a joy and an honour as they do some big work for our little but growing school. I do all the little things for Chiray so she has the extra time and space to focus on the big things – her amazing behind-the-scenes work in keeping our beautiful college growing and expanding is inspiring and admirable.

What’s your favourite thing about your role?
Coming to work everyday and being able to work alongside the amazing Administration and Executive Team.
