Aleisha Aroa

Bachelor of Education (Montessori Primary Teaching); MMUN New Teacher Workshop Training.

Why are you involved with Montessori education?
I always knew I wanted to be within Montessori, even before starting my Bachelor of Education. I was introduced as a child and as I grew older I naturally applied the Montessori methods to my life.

What year did you commence at MIC?
2017

How would you describe what you do?
My role in the environment is to support and guide each student through their 9-12 journey and to inspire and spark their individual interests through a range of lessons and experiences. I hope to encourage each child to challenge themselves to explore their passions while providing a safe and supportive environment.

What’s your favourite thing about your role?
Being in the classroom observing all the joy and excitement towards learning. Being able to provide meaningful learning experiences within and beyond the classroom environment.
Also with the MMUN program, being constantly surprised and amazed at the students’ abilities and ideas and the personal growth the students go through.
