Leah Gauci and Amanda Marshall

Leah has extensive knowledge and experience working with children who experience learning and social difficulties as a teachers aid. Leah has a love of children’s imagination and provides children with the support to build confidence and self-belief through creative and fun means.
Amanda is a qualified social worker who has extensive experience working with children of all ages and abilities and believes play is fundamental to children’s development. Amanda works with children to develop imperative life skills such as forward-thinking, individuality, courage, bravery and kindness.
The Chessmates chess program that both Leah and Amanda facilitate is inclusive of both teachers passions and professional interests and is done in a fun, interactive, and meaningful way with the aim of developing children’s social and emotional skills and intelligence. By incorporating stories, puzzles and games the age-old tactical game of chess becomes an amazing tool for your child’s development.
