Karen Nosworthy

Diploma of Teaching Preschool and Primary; Diploma of Montessori Education (0-3 years); currently completing 3-6 Montessori Diploma.

Karen has worked at the College since 2011 in a variety of roles, including relief teacher, art teacher, Learning Support Coordinator and Early Years’ Coordinator before commencing the role of Assistant Principal (Early Years).

Karen has extensive and diverse experience in Early Childhood education here in Australia and overseas, including Head of Nursery Schools, Teacher in Charge of Preschools, Director of Child Care Centre, 25+ years teaching infants to lower primary, and Education Consultant and Advisor to set up a bilingual bi-curricular school in Indonesia.

Why are you involved with Montessori education?
This feels like home. My philosophies and ideals on education and life just seem to gel. I adore being a part of such a caring community of like minded colleagues, who provide ‘real life’ learning experiences for children.
