Amanda Cole

Amanda Cole is an Australian performer, researcher/writer and music educator, and is currently Research Fellow at Griffith University. She has a doctorate in performing arts pedagogy from Griffith University and a Master’s of Music Performance from the VCA (University of Melbourne). Her articles on constructive pedagogy, performance and the importance of “the whole” have appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as the Australian Journal of Music EducationAustralian Voice, and her book, Educating Alexander: How Marjorie Barstow and John Dewey saved the Alexander Technique, will be published this year with Palgrave Macmillan. She is also a registered teacher of European languages and music.
