Award-winning vocalist Adelina Martinez has performed nationally at the invitation of James Morrison AM and is the recipient of the 2019 Generations in Jazz Vocal Scholarship.

Her original cabaret ”Our Lady of Song: A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald” debuted to a sold-out performance at Doo Bop Jazz Bar.

Adelina has performed as a soloist at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre Concert Hall, Mackay Entertainment Centre and Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and has been cast in recent productions of Women in Voice, Women of Woodstock and Killer Queens, all at the Brisbane Powerhouse.

As a session singer in Brazilian, Funk, Soul, Latin and Pop projects, Adelina prides herself on her versatility and relishes the challenge of jumping between genres. She is a first-generation Australian who uses singing to combine her Uruguayan heritage and love for the American jazz tradition.

Adelina is passionate about community music-making and has delivered outreach workshops and concerts across Central Queensland with the Queensland Youth Orchestra’s Big Band. As a backing vocalist, Adelina has performed at the Brisbane Riverstage and Sirromet Winery in support of Paulini, Thirsty Merc and Christine Anu.
